Hello to You!
I'm watching the light shift through the trees and thinking about how the season changes make things look so different - both outside and inside.
Wild Creation: A New Guide
I've been working on something that feels different, a 10 page guide called "Wild Creation: An Outsider's Guide to Art Beyond Self-Care." This isn't another "art will fix everything" guide. Instead, it's for artists ready to step outside the velvet rope and make art directly from their creative spirit.
What if your creativity doesn't need to heal anyone, it just needs to be yours? What if making art could be about truth-telling instead of comfort, about following threads that lead somewhere unexpected?
This guide begins an exploration of that territory. You'll find approaches for connecting with your authentic voice, permission to make art that serves something deeper, plus a collection of images and collage elements to use in your own wild creations.
I'm proud of it – and a little nervous too – because it's direct and true for me, and I know it's not going to be for everyone. Either this resonates or it doesn't, but if you're ready to make art outside the usual boundaries, I want you to have a copy - it’s here to download directly. I'd love to hear what comes up for you as you read it!
Art Drop Alert!
Speaking of wild creation, I left another piece of art out in the world this week! A small mushroom monotype print found its new home at one of my favorite local hiking trailheads. There's something magical about leaving art where people might stumble upon it during their own adventures in nature. It was exciting to see it had been found when I returned from my hike! This is part of my Art in Hands Project…

Following the Thread Update
The Following the Thread Kickstarter has officially closed, and I’m so grateful to everyone who backed that creative project! If you were part of it, thank you so much, all rewards are shipped and on their way.
If you missed the Kickstarter but are curious about the rewards and special subscriber items from that project, you can still find the collection available in my Ko-fi shop until September 29th. After that, I’m archiving the project and they'll be put away until who knows when!
Studio Windowsill Alert
The latest windowsill addition: a tiny glass hedgehog from a local artisan that sparkles in the sun just so. He's only the size of a fingernail! These small collections keep evolving, and I'm always surprised by what calls out to join the little world on my sill.

Isn’t he cute?
I'm glad you're here with me on this creative journey. What's been inspiring you lately? Just hit reply – I'd love to hear from you and I answer every email!
Shiny your light and make marks that matter!
Monette
