First, an artist confession: I don’t keep a sketchbook - can’t stand working in them! There, now that’s out in the open…
I’m excited to let you know that I’m sharing a small collection of handmade art folios - what I do instead of sketch books - an you can get one on Kickstarter next week starting on Wednesday May 21. I only have the three this round to make a short and sweet campaign that ends on Friday, May 30 at 8 PM EST, so it won’t hang around for long.
Each folio is a one-of-a-kind, folded and staple-bound booklet filled with artwork, notes, experiments, and color from my own creative practice. Think of them as living pages from my studio—not sketchbooks, but something more immediate and intimate.
You’ll be able to choose your folio based on the imagery and feel of each one. I’m also offering a few small monotype prints as optional add-ons—colorful and full of texture, they’re from the same creative stretch.
This is part of my Art in Hands project: a way of making and letting go, keeping things moving, and placing real, touchable art directly into your hands.
